1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
4 cups flour
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 cup shortening
2 Tbsp. milk
1 cup finely chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs. Add dry ingredients and nuts. Form into two rolls, a couple inches in diameter. Cover each roll with plastic wrap and foil. Chill for at least 12 hours. To make into cookies, cut the rolls into 1/4 inch slices and bake 5 to 7 minutes at 350º. Slice as many cookies as you need at the time. So nice to have warm cookies whenever you need them.

I have given rolls of these for neighbor gifts at Christmas. Everyone tells me they remind them of the Windmill cookies you buy. They're delicious fresh!
