Ingredients:  
Melt 1 cube butter in saucepan. Add:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. water.
Mix well with wooden spoon in same saucepan. Then add:
1 cup flour
1-1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Mix together again and add:
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Directions:

Stir with wooden spoon until all is blended. Allow mixture to cool before adding:
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Spread mixture into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes. Don't overbake. Cut into bars to serve.

Grandma Lynn got this easy recipe off the t.v. I made a pan and took to Institute one time. Brenda Hopkin was the secretary there and asked for the recipe. I was so flattered years later when it appeared in the Lion House Cookbook - thanks to Brenda, of course!
