Dissolve 2 tsp. yeast in 1/4 c. lukewarm water. Set aside.
In a bowl mix:
1-1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup flour
Add above yeast mixture and 2-1/4 cups additional flour, Mix well (dough is sticky). Cover and let rise 10 minutes.

Roll dough on floured surface to the size of a large baking sheet. Melt 1 cube (1/2 cup) butter and pour into bottom of baking sheet. Cut dough into strips about 1/2 inch wide and 5-6 inches long. Lay strips in baking sheet and flip over so both sides are covered with butter. Raise for 10 more minutes. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and, if desired, garlic salt and sesame seeds. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes until barely brown.
