1 med head cabbage (about 2 qts)
6 medium onions, chopped
6 green peppers, coarsely chopped
6 red peppers, coarsely chopped
1 qt chopped green tomatoes
1/4 cup pickling salt
2 Tbsp prepared mustard
6 cups vinegar
2 1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ginger
2 Tbsp mustard seed
1 Tbsp celery seed
1 Tbsp mixed pickling spices

Directions:
Directions:
Combine vegetables and mix with salt. Cover and let stand overnight. Drain. Mix mustard with a little vinegar in kettle, add remaining vinegar, sugar and spices. Simmer 20 minutes. Add veggies, simmer 10 minutes. Continue simmering while packing in jars. Fill, leaving 1/8" in from jar top. Make sure liquid covers veggies. Seal. Process in boiling water bath 5 min.

Note from Grandma: I usually use a few carrots in place of the red peppers because I never have the red peppers and I mix in a little flour for thickening. Then you can use the juice and all.
