1 cup starter
2 cups lukewarm water
2 1/2 cups flour

Directions:

1) If sour taste desired, leave out soda.
2) Never waste hot cake dough. Save and make hot rolls.
3) Better to have too thin dough than too thick.
4) For any recipe using basic starter, take one cup starter. Place in large 2 quart, non-metal bowl. Add 2 Cups lukewarm water and 2 1/2 cups flour. Mix thoroughly. Will appear thick and lumpy, but will thin during night. Cover and place in warm place over night.
