2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 1/4 tsp bakingsoda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk

filling:
1 stick butter
1 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
2 cups fluff
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

whisk dry ingrediants together
beat butter sugar, eggs & vanilla separately
combine dry and wet ingrediants

drop teaspoon full onto ungreased cookie sheet
(make them similar in size)
bake 11-15 minutes
make an even amount as you will need 2 cookies for each whoopie pie
let cool.

prepare filling, beat until fluffy. place filling in between 2 cookies press together. you can decorate seasonally by rolling the filling exposed sides in colored sugar.
