3 ½ cups flour
1 ½ c sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
1 ½ c golden raisins>1 c water boil until plump
1 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 F.

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat until smooth.

Boil raisins until plump. Can be microwaved.

Combine the dry ingredients add alternately with the cooled raisins.

Shape level teaspoonfuls of the dough into balls and arrange
1-1/2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the bottoms of the cookies
are golden brown. Remove the cookies and let sit for 2 minutes.
Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
