Fettucini Alfredo Recipe

6 T butter
1 1/2 c. whipping cream (heavy cream)
1 1/2 c. shredded parmesan cheese
salt and pepper
dash of nutmeg (optional)

1 - 9 oz pkg refrigerated fettucine

Optional ingredients:
cooked chicken breast
sliced fresh mushrooms sautéed
steamed broccoli florets
steamed asparagus spears (quartered)
diced ham
cooked shrimp
peas
green onion, sautéed

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large saute pan. Add 1/2 c. of cream and boil rapidly until large shiny bubbles form. Stir occasionally. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining cream and cheese a little at a time until thickened. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste.

Cook noodles as directed on package.

All other ingredients should be cooked and heated, ready to add.

Pour sauce over cooked, drained pasta. Add other ingredients and heat through

This is a Bosco's original recipe! We used to frequent the italian restaurant when we lived in Casper....and I got the recipe from an 'insider'. :-)

This was always served with crusty bread and a house salad that was garnished with 'salad shrimp.' We all LOVED Bosco's!!
