Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 - 15oz cans Contadina tomato paste
1 1/2lbs ground beef
1 package (around 5 links) Mild Italian Sausage
4 full Bay leaves
Oregano
Garlic Salt
Sweet Basil

Directions:
Directions:
First in a pan brown ground beef, seasoning with oregano and garlic salt. Drain grease. Add this to a large stock pot and set aside. Next cut into pieces the Italian sausage. Brown these in a pan, drain grease, and add these to the stock pot as well.
Put the stock pot on high heat and add the tomato paste and equal parts water. Stir to combine. Bring mixture to a boil and make sure to scrape the bottom. Add bay leaves.
Once bubbling, turn the heat down to low-medium low. Simmer for four hours, stirring occasionally and seasoning to taste with oregano, sweet basil, and garlic salt. Don't be shy with the seasoning either, this sauce can hold a lot of flavor. Keep in mind that the pork will add natural saltiness, so switch to Garlic Powder to reduce salt content OR if sauce becomes too salty.
The sauce should be dark red and thick when it's ready. Add to whatever pasta you'd like and serve! Yum!

Personal Notes:
This sauce is thick, make sure your stock pot has a lid and don't be surprised if you get some bubbles that are little explosions. These generally happen in the first hour or so, and should stop. If they don't add a little more water to ease the sauce.
