Ingredients:  
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
2 cups chopped apples
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in 1 bowl. Bake in greased 9 X 9 pan at 350º for 45-50 minutes. May be served with whipped cream or ice cream. Serve with rich butterscotch sauce on top.

Butterscotch Sauce:
Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup butter, and 1/2 cup heavy cream ( a must). Bring mixture to a boil and serve hot or cold over dessert.
