1 c butter
2 3/4 c sugar
6 eggs
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
finely grated peel of 1 lemon
3 c flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Lemon Glaze
4 Tbsp butter
2 c confectioners sugar
2 to 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
finely grated peel of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325º. Grease and lightly flour a 10 inch bundt pan.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream the melted butter and the sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Add the lemon juice and grated peel. Continue beating until the mixture is thick and pale yellow. Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the sour cream to the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven to a rack to cool for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan, cool an additional 30 minutes.

Melt butter, mix with remaining glaze ingredients. Frost cake with the warm glaze.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Gourmet club find. Soft buttery cake with tart glaze.

NOTE: my boys love this cake with Raspberry sauce drizzled over each slice. See Raspberry sauce (made from frozen raspberries) in this cookbook. (You can omit the glaze.)
