Steak Tips

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2-3 lb sirloin steak tips
teriyaki marinade (optional), see below
4 onions
8 to 16 oz sliced fresh mushrooms (baby bella are good).
olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
If using teriyaki marinade, place steak tips in a gallon ziploc bag and pour marinade over to just cover, squeeze to distribute. OR: place in a bowl or container where meat just fits and pour marinade over and cover. Marinate one hour to overnight in the refrigerator.

Grill the steak tips on a gas grill, turning once. Should be pink in the middle. (Cut to test, or poke them and they should give to the touch and not feel stiff). OR: Broil on High on rack in roaster pan in oven, turning once.

In the meantime, prepare the mushrooms and onions. Peel and then cut onions into vertical slivers, wash and slice mushrooms. Heat olive oil, add onions and cook until almost tender. Add mushrooms and cook until they are almost tender (I prefer not overcooking the mushrooms). If desired: boil any leftover marinade in a small pan and pour over mushroom/onions. Serve over the steak tips.

Directions:
Mix all ingredients except soy sauce with wire whisk (to break up any lumps). Add soy sauce and mix until well combined.
