2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c butter
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt, set aside. In large mixing bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla, beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by roundted teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool slightly, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
