3 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/3 c. melted butter
1 c. pecan halves (if you like a lot of pecans, use 2 c.)
1 9" unbaked pie shell
Dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
-Beat eggs thoroughly.
-Add sugar, dash of salt, corn syrup, & butter. Mix well.
-Add pecans & mix.
-Pour into unbaked pie shell.
-Bake at 350º for 50 min. or until knife inserted halfway between edge & center of filling comes out clean.
-Cool before serving.

Aunt Nila taught Susan how to make this pie when she visited her in South Carolina with pecans picked on their property. Although called "aunt", Nila is cousins with Susan & Ron. Her mother was Aunt Ada who was the sister of great-grandma Sarah (Sarah Smith > Donna Davis > Ron Davis > Susan Davis).
