1 doz. eggs
1 qt. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

-Place eggs in large pot & beat well.
-Add mild, sugar, salt, & vanilla.
-Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
-Continue cooking until liquid cooks out & looks clear. (Takes about 45 min.)
-Place a square piece of cheesecloth in a colander.
-Pour egg mixture into cheesecloth. Pull corners of cloth together around cheese & twist to form a ball.
-Hang ball to allow all liquid to drain. Ball will solidify as it cools.
-Store in refrigerator.
-Slice & serve with ham.

This is a traditional Slovak recipe that we make for Easter dinner. The original recipe came from Anna Gaydos & was passed down to her son, Al Gaydos, who passed it onto his daughter, Barb Davis, & she passed it down to her daughter, Susan Davis.
