3/4 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 margarine, softened
1 c packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c finely chopped almonds

CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
1 c chocolate chips (less)
1 tsp margarine (more)

Directions:
COOKIES: preheat oven 400º. Beat margarine at high speed until light. Add brown sugar and beat until fluffy. beat in egg and vanilla on low speed until smooth. Sift flour and add with baking powder and salt. Stir in almonds. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 5 min (longer) or until crisp.
GLAZE: melt chocolate and margarine together until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies with tines of a fork. Cool for 1 hr.
