1 1/3 cups sifted flour
1 cup softened butter
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp grated lemon rind (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
pre heat oven to 325 degrees. In mixing bowl mix flour and butter with an electric mixer until blended ( low speed).
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg. Slowly add sugar to the mixture and beat well.
Beat in baking powder
Add vanilla and lemon rind
Pour batter into greased and floured 10 inch Bundt pan and bake for 1 hour.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan
