4 large apples
½ Cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
½ teaspoon Cinnamon

Make pastry for 1 crust pie.

Topping:
½ cup sugar
½ cup flour
¼ cup butter
½ teaspoon cinnamon.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together. Sprinkle on pie. Put pie in large brown paper bag. Fold ends of bag and fasten with paper clips.
Bake 425 degrees for 1 hour. You could substitute Apple Pie Filling in this pie.

My mother (Zelia Perugini) entered this recipe in a Pillsbury Bake-Off contest and got honorable mention for it. I think that’s a good thing, considering how many recipes they get from everyone.
