Six 4 to 6 oz Ahi Tuna steaks about 1 inch thick
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Sauce
3 Tbsp oil (canola, grapeseed, or olive)
6 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated
3 c fresh cilantro, chopped
6 Tbsp soy sauce
3 Tbsp light brown sugar
3/4 c water

Rinse tuna and pat dry. Rub with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Preheat grill or broiler
Prepare the sauce: heat the oil in a small skillet over med high heat, add ginger. Stir fry 1 min, add cilantro and stir fry for 1 min until cilantro is bright green. Mix in soy sauce, sugar, and water and cook for 1 min over high heat. Remove from heat.
Grill tuna on high heat or broil, 2-3 min per side for med-rare. Spoon sauce over fish and serve immediately.
