6 c. apples, peeled and sliced
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together apples, 1 c. sugar and cinnamon and put in greased baking dish. Dot with 2 Tbsp. butter. Cream remaining 6 Tbsp. butter, 3/4 c. sugar, egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and milk. Mix well and pour over apples. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
Note: If apples are dry, add 1/4 cup water to apple mixture to make it juicier.
Great served with half and half or ice cream.
