6 eggs, room temperature
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs. Beat whites with cream of tartar until stiff. Gradually add 1 1/2 c. of the powdered sugar. Continue to beat until very thick. Set aside. Whip yolks with the vanilla until light in color and thick. Add the remaining 1 c. powdered sugar and beat until very thick. Add yolks to egg white mixture and beat at high speed until very thick. Freeze.

To make a Tom and Jerry: Use 2 Tbsp. of mixture for each drink. Add rum, brandy or a combination to taste and very hot water . Sprinkle with nutmeg.
