Directions:Cook crumbled ground beef with onions and garlic until browned. Put all ingredients in a large stock pot to cook. When adding the cans of tomatoes and tomato sauce, I rinse each can by filling half full with water and adding this to the chili. I like my chili with a good broth! Once heated through, simmer on low for as long as you desire. |

Notes: “Although I don’t use a recipe to make my chili, friends with kids have often asked for it because their kids actually ate my chili. It doesn’t pack a lot of punch, but we like it. Along with our chili, we have to have peanut butter toast and frozen homemade applesauce! This is how the Skinner kids all ate it growing up, and have now passed on that odd tradition to our kids. I use the RED GOLD brand of tomato products because after eating Nora Meredith's infamous chili during the Labor Day work day at the farm in 2006, I learned that Paul Meredith for many, many years worked for Red Gold!” Diane
