4 c thinly sliced boiled sweet potatoes
3 c peeled, thinly sliced tart apples
1 c brown sugar
1 stick butter (can use less if desired)
salt
cinnamon sugar (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 3 quart (9x13) baking dish. Put half the potatoes in the dish, cover with half the apples, sprinkle with half the sugar, dot with half the butter, and sprinkle with salt. Repeat. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake about 30 minutes more or until the apples are soft.

(can halve this and bake in 1.5 quart baking dish to serve 4)
