1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup lard
or
3/4 cup butter
11/2 cup sugar
3 eggs- beaten
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp vanilla


Icing:

6 tbsp. melted butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cream
1 cup coconut
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Bake cake @ 350º for 30 minutes.

Mix icing ingredients and spread on cake while still warm. Put under the broiler until brown. Serve warm.
