1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar. Beat until creamy.

2. Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

3. Blend in peanut butter.

4. Sift together flour, salt and soda and add to mixture.

5. Roll into a ball; flatten using a fork making criss-crosses.

Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.

Variation to recipe is to mix nuts and 6 oz of chocolate chips to batter. Then drop by the tablespoon onto cookie sheet.
