1 large Box of whole pitted dates
2 lbs. Cooked Bacon
1 can water Chestnuts (sliced)
2 bottles thick teriyaki sauce
1 block of sharp cheddar cheese
Toothpicks

Directions:
Directions:
Use precooked bacon or if you prefer cook raw bacon until it cooked but still limp. Open up date, insert piece of cheese and water chestnut. Wrap with bacon and hold it in place by inserting a toothpick. Place the wrapped dates in a baking dish and cover with teriyaki sauce. Bake in 350º oven until bubbly. Best when served warm.

This is a family favorite. I make them every year at Christmas time. They are always a hit! They can be make up and frozen until ready to bake. Simply thaw them, cover with the teriaki sauce of your choice and bake.
