2 lb. kidney beans
4 ham shanks
4 cans Budweiser beer
4 cans of water
1 large spoonful of chicken bouillon
10 cloves pressed garlic
3 large onions (diced)
2 large bell peppers
5 stalks celery
1/4 c. liquid smoke
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
2 lb. Portuguese sausage (diced)
10 oz. canned tomatoes (smashed)
5 oz. canned tomato sauce
5 large potatoes (diced)
1 head of cabbage (chopped)
1 lb. macaroni

Directions:
Directions:
1. Soak the kidney beans overnight.
2. Boil ham shanks with beer and equal parts water.
3. Add chicken bouillon with garlic. Simmer for 5-6 hours until the ham is falling off the bones.
4. Dice the ham. Add back to the soup stock.
5. Add the onions, bell peppers, celery, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, sausage, tomatoes, and potatoes to the soup. Add the kidney beans.
6. Simmer all ingredients until the potatoes are done. Add water as necessary.
7. Add cabbage and simmer until translucent.
8. In a sauce pot cook macaroni. Add to soup.
9. Add salt and pepper to taste.
10. Refrigerate and serve 2 days later.
