1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. cake flour (sifted)
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Frosting-
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 large can of sliced peaches (drained)
Directions:
Directions:
1. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
2. Add the eggs one at a time to the mixture.
3. Sift the flour and baking powder together.
4. Mix the milk and vanilla together.
5. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and liquids to the mixture. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
6. Pour the mixture into a greased and lined 8x10 baking pan.
7. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
8. Once thoroughly cooled, peel off the paper lining and set on a serving dish.

Frosting-
9. Beat the butter and sugar together.
10. Add in the egg and beat well.
11. Crush the canned peaches with a fork. Add them to the mixture and blend.
12. Frost the cake when it has completely cooled.
