1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. shortening (cold)
3 Tbsp. butter (cold)
4-5 Tbsp. ice water

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift the flour and salt.
2. In a large bowl cut in the shortening and butter until the mixture resembles small peas.
3. Sprinkle water 1 Tbsp. at a time over the flour mixture, tossing with a fork.
4. Gather the pastry into a ball and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.
5. Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface into a 12 inch circle.
