4 lbs boneless rump roast
4 tbsp shortening
2 med. onions sliced
5 tsp salt
pepper
1 cup water

Sauce:
2 med. onions chopped
2 med. garlic chopped
6 tbsp butter
2 cups catsup
4 thin slices lemon
4 tbsp vinegar
4 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat on all sides. Add sliced onion on top of roast - add water and cover.
Simmer on top of stove (or oven at 325 degrees) for 3 1/2 - 4 hours or until tender.
Cook all ingredients for sauce for about 15 minutes.
Add thinly sliced meat and simmer 10-15 minutes.
Serve on potato buns or hamburger buns
