5-7 tart apples
3/4- 1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. butter
1 plain pastry

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix apples, sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg together. Put in a dish.
2. Dot butter over apples.
3. Adjust pastry crust over top.
4. Brush top with evaporated milk and sprinkle with sugar. (optional)
5. Bake at 450º for 10 minutes then at 350º for 40 minutes.
