1 cup milk, scalded
1 cup cooked mashed potatoes
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup honey
½ teaspoon salt
1 packet dry yeast
2 eggs, beaten
5 – 6 cups unbleached flour
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk. Potatoes, oil, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Dissolve yeast in ½ cup lukewarm water. Add the eggs and yeast to potato mixture. Stir in 2 cups flour and mix well until blended. Gradually add the remaining flour until a stiff dough forms. Turn out and knead thoroughly. Return to a greased bowl and turn over. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 2 hours. Punch down and divide into quarters. Grease a deep baking dish or tube pan. Pinch off small pieces of dough and dip in melted butter. Arrange a pain in layers and let rise until double. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake bread for 25 minutes or until hollow-sounding when tapped. Serve while still warm and let the children pull the bread apart to eat.
