1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup and 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup seedless raisins
3 cups quick oats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in vanilla. Add raisins and oats.
Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375º oven for 15 minutes.

Grandma Steele wrote on the recipe card that the recipe was from the Quaker Oats box. The card is very soiled. Ellen probably contributed to that as she had cookie making duty many Saturdays.
