½ c. Shortening
½ c. Peanut Butter
½ c. Sugar
½ c. Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 tbsp. Milk
1 ¾ c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
½ tsp. Salt
Sugar for coating cookies

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars in a medium mixing bowl. Then add egg, vanilla and milk, and beat well. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add flour mixture to wet ingredients.

Shape by rounded spoonful into balls. Roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place a chocolate candy kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that cookie cracks around the edge. Return to the oven and bake 2-5 minutes longer.
