1 c. butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
1/2 c. chopped nuts

CINNAMON ICING
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. brewed coffee
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar; then add eggs and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients to form a batter.

Divide batter into three portions. Form each portion into a "log" shape. Put on wax paper and place in freezer to chill.

Slice cookies from chilled logs and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for approximately 8-10 minutes. (Cookies will be golden brown and will puff up a little around the edges.)

Frost with cinnamon icing. (See frosting ingredients above.)
