CRUST
1 1/2 c flour
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c butter
1 egg

Filling
2 tart apples
1/2 c currents
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 eggs
1 c heavy cream
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
crust--blend butter, sugar, salt into one fine,beat egg lightly with fork add to flour. Roll out to fit 10 inch pie pan (fluted) prick well, bake 15 minutes at 425º. Cool

filling--slice tart apples very thin lengthwise arrange on bottom of cooled crust sprinkle with 1/2 c currents, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, beat 3 3ggs until blended. Beat in cream, sugar, vanilla, salt pour over apples.
bake 325º 40 to 50 minutes until custard is set. To keep crust from getting to brow cover with strip of foil.
