1/2 to 3/4 pound green beans
1 1/4 C salted water
1 lg onion, thinly sliced
1 T butter
2T flour
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 T chopped fresh dill (1/2 tsp dried)
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse and trim the green beans and cut into 1" pieces. Bring water to boil. Drop onion slices into boiling water. After couple of minutes, add the green beans and cook till the beans are tender. Drain, reserving the liquid.
Make a roux by melting butter on low heat, whisk in flour and cook a minute or two, stirring constantly and taking care not to burn the roux. Whisk in one cup of the reserved liquid, the sour cream and lemon juice. Add the dill, salt and pepper to taste.
Place beans in serving dish and pour the sauce over them.
