1 pie crust
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp flour
3 tbsp cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups canned milk (evaporated milk, pet or carnation)
1/2 cup water
2 eggs yolks only (reserve whites for meringue)
Meringue Topping:
3-4 egg whites(for large pie crust use 4 for regular use 3)
Sugar to taste

Cook filling ingredients on top of stove on medium heat, until thick, stirring occasionally. Bake pie crust while making filling. Set aside. Put chocolate into pie crust. Whip egg whites, add sugar, whip again until sugar is mixed. Put on pie and brown at 400º. Watch closely, it only takes a few minutes .Remove from oven when meringue is browned, cool and eat!

This recipe was given to me on my wedding day from my Aunt Ellen and Aunt Jodi. When they traced back the recipe in 1990 it was 135 years old.
