"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
In a bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and sugar until well blended. Beat in water and vanilla until smooth.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture until well incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.

Drop in 1-tablespoon portions, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheet.

Bake at 300º about 18-20 minutes until cookies are lightly browned.

Do not store these in an air-tight container or they will become thin and chewy.
