1/3 cup soft shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
2/3 cup honey
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Frosting:
1/3 cup soft butter
3 cups of sifted confectioners sugar
3 tbsp milk
1 1/2 tsp lemon flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, egg and honey throughly. Measure flour by sifting. Blend flour, soda, salt and stir in. Chill dough. Heat over to 375º. Roll dough 1/4" thick. Cut into desired shape and place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7-10 minutes. When cool frost with butter frosting.

Frosting Directions:
Blend butter and sugar together. Stir in milk and lemon until smooth. Add color to frosting if you wish.

When my mom was little she use to make the cookiers with her mom. Now every year my mom and I make these cookies and think of my Grandma.
