2 small boxes orange Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 pint orange sherbet
1 small container Cool Whip
2 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained

Directions:
Dissolve Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add sherbet and stir until dissolved. Add Cool Whip into mixture. Gently fold in oranges. Refrigerate until set.

When I lived n California with my Aunt Cille, she made this salad one Sunday and I was mesmerized. I had never seen sherbet go into a jello salad, and I was amazed how quickly the jello sets when you put the sherbet in. I told myself I would never lose this recipe and I haven't!
