2 1/2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 C butter, room temperature
2/3 C white granulated sugar
1 egg
1 T vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift together flour and salt, set aside.

2. Beat butter and sugar with a medium speed mixture until creamy and light, about 3 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour a little a time, blending between additions.

3. Divide dough into two different sections, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about an hour.

4. Roll cookies out on floured surface and bake in a 350º oven for 8-10 minutes. Frost (or don't!).
