½ c. yellow corn meal
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp + 1tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. soda
½ c. buttermilk
¼ c. water
1 egg
¼ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together, add egg, buttermilk and water, stir until it is well blended.
Pour into iron skillet that has been prepared by pouring 2 Tbsp. oil and sprinkling cornmeal on the bottom. Put on hot burner until corn meal is brown. Pour cornbread mixture into hot skillet. Bake at 400ºfor 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
