2 squares chocolate melted in 1/2 c boiling water
1 c flour
1 c sugar
1/2 t salt
1/4 butter, softened
1/4 c milk to which has been added 1/2 T vinegar
1 egg
1 t vanilla

Frosting:

1 c sugar
1/4 c butter
1/3 c milk
1 square chocolate

Mix all cake ingredients together in large bowl and beat well. Bake in 8-9" square pan at 350º for 35-45- mins.

Mix frosting ingredients in small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1-1 1/2 mins. Remove from heat and beat with mixer or wire whisk until thickened and slightly cooled. Pour on top of cooled cake.
