3 lbs bacon fried
2 lbs ground beef browned and drained
1 - 2 tbsp brown sugar
2 15.25 oz cans of chili beans ( Must)
Optional other beans: Garbanzo, Kidney, White, Lima, Butter to mix it up
1 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
1 8 oz can Tomato Sauce
1 6 oz can Tomato Paste
1 13.25 oz can Mushrooms

Use any or all of the beans listed. One to two cans of each depending on how much chili you want to make. Open all of the cans ( tomato products, beans, mushrooms... only drain about a third of the beans you want to have a lot of liquid at this point). Mix these ingredients in Crockpot. Add beef and stir together. Add 1 - 2 tbsp of brown sugar. Cook on high 3 hours or simmer all day. Last hour, add fried bacon and stir thoroughly.

Top with sour cream, cheddar cheese and jalapeņo peppers to taste.

This is in memory of my dear friend Peggy. She would make this for her Superbowl parties and it was a winner. This recipe was handed down to her from her mother Vera.

This Chili has a sweet flavor and you can add all the heat that your want with the toppings.
