Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 medium yellow onions
1 can Guinness beer
2 beef stock cubes
Puff Pastry
2 Tbsp flour seasoned with salt and pepper
2-3 Tbsp. oil
2 lbs. steak (we use flank steak, cut in cubes)
Dash Worcestershire sauce
1 c. boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Put fat in a pan until Super hot. Put flour in a bag or pan and put in steak until well coated. Put the steak in the pan a quarter at a time until browned. Remove and put in the next quarter. Fry the onions separately. Mix onions and beef together. Add beef stock (dropped in about a cup of boiling water) to pan with beef and onions. Let simmer for a wee bit. Add in 1 pint of Guiness or another dark stout. Add a couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce (if you have it). Simmer for hours until beef is tender. Once meat is tender, then thicken or thin depending on how thick you want it. Remember, a stew that boils is a stew that spoils!
When the beef is tender, remove from heat and cool completely.

Thaw puff pastry a couple of hours before use. Roll pastry out until 1/8 inch. If you get one tthe Pepperidge Farms pastry, then there is no need to roll out.

Put meat mixture in oven proof pan that has a bit of a lip on it.
Place puff pastry on top of dish and crease over edge. Rub milk on the edge and ensure the crease is adhered. Cut a few slits in it. Cook at 375 for 40 minutes or until crust is golden.
