3-4 tbsp flour
3 c. milk

bacon drippings or the residue from frying meat was always used when mother made gravy.

put 3-4 tbsp of bacon grease or meat drippings in frying pan add 3-4 tbsp of flour mix together and cook for a minute or so. stir in about 3 c. milk (part canned milk adds great flavor). stir and boil until desired consistency.

great with biscuits or fried potatoes...
