3 cups all–purpose flour
1 cup light brown sugar
½ cup sour cream
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
½ tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. fresh orange rind, grated
½ tsp. salt
1 cup pecans, chopped
¾ cup butter (1 ½ sticks)

Icing:
2 cups confectioners sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. orange rind, grated
2 or 3 Tbsp. fresh orange juice

Cookies:
Preheat oven to 375° F. Cream butter, light brown sugar, and white sugar. Add eggs and orange rind. Blend dry ingredients, adding sour cream. Add chopped pecans. Drop by teaspoonful on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

Icing:
Combine all ingredients and mix well. This will be rather thick, but when added to top of hot cookies, will spread. A little goes a long way.

NOTE: Store in covered container with wax paper between layers.
