1/4 c luke warm water
1 T sugar
1 pkg yeast

1 1/2 c milk
2 eggs well beaten
1/3 c sugar
1/3 c shortening
1 1/2 tsp salt
5 1/2 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
First: mix the 1/4c warm water,1 T sugar & yeast. set aside.

Next: Scald milk and cool to luke warm.
In mix master, beat the shortening, sugar and eggs until creamy. Add the milk and the yeast mixture. Add the flour a little at a time, beating well after each addition.
Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double in size. Roll out on floured board. Cut with round cutter and place in pan. brush top with melted butter or shortening. let rise again until double in size. bake 375º for 25 - 30 mins.

When rolls are golden brown, tap the top. If it sounds hollow, they are done!
