2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups butter
5 eggs
1 cup milk
3 cups flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. lemon juice
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar.
Add one egg at a time, beating well after each egg.
Sift flour with backing powder and add alternately with the milk.
Add the vanilla and lemon juice.
Butter a tube pan and sprinkle lightly with flour.
Bake at 300º for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Do not open oven while cooking.
